Chandigarh, December 19 – Union Railway Minister, Sh. Ashwini Vaishnaw said that the Railway Ministry is determined to provide easy means for small traders, small farmers and small entrepreneurs in line with the vision of Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi. The Railways Ministry is ensuring to provide easy trade arrangements to farmers and entrepreneurs under the scheme of Gati Shakti so that farmers and small entrepreneurs in any part of the country can easily take their crops and their products from one place to another for sale through small containers. Sh. Vaishnaw took stock of of the small container manufacturing process at Kalyani Cast Tech Pvt. Ltd. located in village Mamariya Thethar near village Pali station of Rewari district on Sunday.
The Railways Minister said that under the vision of ‘Gati Shakti’, a comprehensive system is being provided by the government to ensure smooth transportation of goods through rail-road-water route. He said that the innovation method of small container has been prepared by the container manufacturing company in Mamariya Thethar of Rewari district, in which there is a system for small farmers and small entrepreneurs to send their goods directly.
Taking stock of the container, he said that this small container can hold 32 tons of goods and loading arrangement has been made from the top, in which grains can be loaded comfortably and goods can be unloaded from the bottom. He appreciated the working style of the company for taking such positive steps. He said that he is also visiting Kathuwas in Rajasthan, where a small container of 2.5 ton capacity has been prepared for carrying goods from one place to the other in the country. In such a situation, the Railways Ministry is playing its part in realizing the vision of the Prime Minister.
Railway Ministry alert regarding Omicron
The Railway Minister said that many trains have started operating in the country as per the need, but recently, caution is very important regarding the new Omicron variant of COVID-19. In such a situation, following the COVID-19 Guidelines, trains are being operated in an appropriate manner and in view of the spread of infection, adequate precautions are being taken at the Ministry level.
