Continuing its drive against drugs, Haryana Police has arrested nine accused in separate cases from Jind and Sirsa districts and seized a total of 669-grams of heroin from their possession

Chandigarh, Feb 28– Continuing its drive against drugs, Haryana Police has arrested nine accused in separate cases from Jind and Sirsa districts and seized a total of 669-grams of heroin from their possession
Sharing the information here today, a Haryana Police spokesperson informed that the market value of a seized drug is around Rs 70 lakh.
As a part of the anti-narcotic drive, Sanjay Kumar aka Sonu, a resident of Mahendergarh district and Ramkishan hails from Sikar district in Rajasthan were nabbed from near Belarkhan village in Jind district after 514 gram of heroin with the was recovered from their possession.
While 412-gram heroin was recovered from Sanjay, 102-gram was seized from the possession of Ramkishan. The primary probe also revealed that seized drugs was to be supplied in Narwana, Sangrur and Patiala areas.
Meanwhile, in another case, CIA sleuths arrested Manish Kumar aka Sonu, Dinesh Kumar and Manoj Kumar, all residents of Anoopgarh in Sriganganagar, Rajasthan were arrested from a car near village Chautala in Sirsa district on the charges of possessing 100-gram heroin.
In a separate case, Anti-Narcotics Cell team going from Panniwala Mota towards village Rohida Wali has arrested four accused sitting in the car after 55-gram heroin was recovered from them.
The spokesperson informed that cases under the provisions of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS) Act have been registered against them in different Police Stations. Further investigation is underway.
