After meeting with the farmers, discussions were held to improve the water supply system
Chandigarh, March 12 – Haryana Vidhan Sabha Deputy Speaker, Sh. Ranbir Gangwa held a meeting with the members of Jal Sangharsh Samiti in Hisar on Saturday and discussed in detail with them the availability of water for agriculture sector.
The Deputy Speaker said that since its formation, the present government has taken many effective steps towards equitable distribution of available water in the state. Special efforts have been made to bring water to the tail of each canal. He said that serious efforts would be made towards resolving the demands of the farmers and in this direction a meeting would also be held with Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal.
In the meeting, suggestions were taken from the farmers to improve the water supply system. The farmers also suggested providing water according to Bhakra system. Suggestions were also given to clean the part of Punjab adjoining Hansi branch, Munak head to Rajthal head, BML Barwala’s Khanori head and run water twice a week in Balsamand sub branch besides running water continuously in rainy season.
On this occasion, former Chairman, Haryana Backward Classes Commission, Sh. Satbir Verma, President, Sh. Kurdaram Numberdar, State General Secretary of BKIU, Sh. Dilbag Hooda, and a large number of farmers were present.
