Punjab Assembly will be paperless soon: Sandhwan

Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan on Tuesday said that soon the entire official working of the Vidhan Sabha will be paperless and the work of installing computers on the tables of all MLAs is in full swing.
After the meeting of the Committee on Computerization and Digitization in the Punjab Vidhan Sabha here today, all the members also reviewed the work of installing computers in the Vidhan Sabha Hall.
Presiding over the meeting, Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan urged the concerned departments to intensify efforts to implement the National e-Vidhan Application so that the entire proceedings of the Vidhan Sabha could be paper-free at the earliest. Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema assured that there would be no dearth of funds for all this work.
The meeting was attended by Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema, Administrative Reforms Minister Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Inderbir Singh Nijjar, PWD Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO, Leader of Opposition Partap Singh Bajwa, MLA Narinder Kaur Bharaj, Principal Secretary PWD Anurag Verma, Principal Secretary Administrative Reforms Tejveer Singh, Principal Secretary Finance Ajoy Kumar Sinha, Director, Administrative Reforms Girish Dayalan and Secretary, Punjab Vidhan Sabha Surinder Pal were also present on the occasion.
