Haryana Cooperation Minister, Dr. Banwari Lal Said That The Process Of Making Fuel Brackets From Bagasse Would Be Implemented
Chandigarh, November 11– Haryana Cooperation Minister, Dr. Banwari Lal said that the process of making fuel brackets from bagasse would be implemented in all sugar mills of the state following the process started at Cooperative Sugar Mill in Kaithal. This initiative will increase the income of the sugar mill which would further lead them to become self-sufficient. Dr. Banwari Lal was inaugurating the 32nd crushing session of Sugar Mill at Kaithal today.
The Cooperation Minister said that Sugar Mill, Kaithal has received many state and national level awards. Better quality jaggery and sugar is being produced in this mill. Besides this, a special arrangement of providing food at Rs 10 has also been made for the farmers arriving during the crushing season.
He said that the target of the mill has been fixed to crush 41,500 quintals of sugarcane. The payment of sugarcane crop is being provided to the farmers on time. Along with this, awareness is being made from time to time to plant a good variety of sugarcane, so that farmers can produce maximum yield. He said that work is being done to produce biogas in sugar mills, so that this system can be initiated in other sugar mills as well.
The Cooperation Minister said that tenders regarding a technically advanced project will be floated in the month of December to increase the crushing capacity of Kaithal Mill from 2500 to 3,000 TDC. The estimated cost for this project is Rs. 86 crore. Apart from this, the work regarding advancement of ETP plant is being done, which will cost about Rs. 6 crore. The ethanol project of 120 kilo litres per day capacity will be implemented in this mill in association with Jind Sugar Mill. Under this scheme, 2 mills will be set up in the form of cluster.
On this occasion, Deputy Commissioner, Kaithal, Smt Sangeeta Tetarwal, MD, Sh. Braham Parkash and other officers were present.
