Mann government will spend about Rs 17.42 crores on development works for the beautification of Ludhiana:Dr Inderbir Singh Nijjar
Local Government Minister Dr. Inderbir Singh Nijjar said that the Punjab government has decided to spend approximately Rs 17.42 crore on development works for the beautification of Ludhiana.
Local Government Minister Dr. Inderbir Singh Nijjar said that the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is making full efforts to provide basic facilities, clean and pollution-free environment to the people of the state. Working in this direction, development works are being conducted across the state.
Giving more information in this regard, Local Government Minister Dr. Nijjar said that approximately Rs 4.18 crores will be spent on development of Ambedkar Bhawan cum Training and Research Centre near Jalandhar bye pass Chowk Ludhiana. Similarly, approximately Rs 4.84 crore will be spent on implementation of UID number plates on properties within limits of Municipal Corporation Ludhiana.
Cabinet Minister said that apart from this, about 3.07 crore rupees will be spent on developing the green belt from Jawaddi Bridge to Pakhowal Road Sidhwan Canal and about 3.16 crores will be spent on the development of the green belt from Dugri Bridge to Jawaddi. He said that around 1.59 crore rupees will be spent for the development of the green belt from Gurdwara Baba Deep Singh Ji to Pakhowal Under Bridge.
Minister said that around 57.21 lakh rupees will be spent for the renovation of main Office Gill Road, zone-c at Municipal Corporation Ludhiana and the construction of Shaheed Bhagat Singh Gate at Ward No. 2 and other works.
Cabinet Minister said that the office process for these works has been started by the Local Government Department.
Dr. Nijjar further said that the dream of the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is to provide a corruption-free administration to the people of the state, so if any official is caught committed with corruption, he will not be spared.
Minister has directed the officials to make ensure transparency and quality in Department’s works.
