Chetan Singh Jauramajra asks PR officers to publicise novel initiatives of Mann Govt in robust manner
In just a span of one year, the Punjab Government led by the Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has set a new record by implementing scores of novel initiatives aimed at the welfare of the common man. The CM has unleashed a big progressive change in the state that path breaking steps undertaken such as the 117 schools of eminence in 23 districts, 500 Aam Aadmi Clinics, free power worth 300 units per month for each family has heralded in the lives of the people, needs to be seen at the ground level also.
Disclosing this while presiding over the first meeting since taking over as the Information and Public Relations Minister, Mr. Chetan Singh Jauramajra emphasized that the achievements of the Punjab Government need to be publicized to optimum extent especially at the grassroots level so as to disseminate information even to the far flung corners of the State.
Exhorting the department to work with even more vigour, the Minister urged the officers to implement a positive publicity campaign concentrating on the pro-farmer infrastructure made available by the Bhagwant Maan government across Punjab during the ongoing wheat procurement season besides certain other key aspects such as the number of tests conducted at the Aam Aadmi Clinics, besides other welfare centric schemes across sectors viz. Horticulture and Ex-Servicemen welfare.
He asked the PR officers to utilise all social media handles being a potent tool and ensure dissemination of information about progressive measures of the state government at the grassroots level in a manner faster than ever before.
Earlier, the Secretary of the Department, Mr. Malwinder Singh Jaggi apprised the Minister about the functioning of the department comprising Press Section, Social Media, Print & Electronic Media etc. and assured that the department would scrupulously adhere to the directions given by the Minister.
Among others present on the occasion included the Director Public Relation Mr. Sandeep Singh Garha, media heads of various branches and the IPROs/APROs from the headquarters as well as the districts.
