Punjab Govt To Allow Industry To Operate In Mixed Land Use Areas
Ludhiana (Central) MLA Mr. Surinder Dawar and Ludhiana (East) MLA Mr.Sanjay Talwar today informed that the Punjab government is expected to give relaxation by allowing the operations of industry located in mixed land use areas shortly.
They said that they held a meeting with Mrs. Vini Mahajan, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary, Punjab, at Police Lines, here today.
The meeting was also attended by Deputy Commissioner Mr. Pradeep Kumar Agrawal, Commissioner of Police Mr. Rakesh Kumar Agrawal, besides others.
MLA Mr. Surinder Dawar informed that he, along with MLA Mr. Sanjay Talwar, has been raising the issue of allowing industry situated in mixed land use areas with the Chief Minister at several times. He informed that during the meeting with Mrs. Vini Mahajan, she assured that the Punjab government is seriously considering allowing the operations of the industry in mixed land use areas shortly.
He informed that formal orders in this regard would be issued by the Punjab government soon. He said that he has raised this issue with the Punjab government as well as Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh on several occasions and expects that the industrialists whose industries are located in mixed land use areas would be benefitted shortly.
MLA Mr. Sanjay Talwar said that discussions were also held on issues related to the exhibition center, East End club, projects on National Highway, Halwara Airport, besides several others.
He also informed that Vini Mahajan has assured that relaxations would be provided to industry in mixed land use areas soon.
Earlier, Mrs. Vini Mahajan also held a review meeting related to Novel Coronavirus (COVID 19) with officials and other stakeholders at Bachat Bhawan, here today.
