Haryana State Vigilance Bureau (SVB) has caught Narender Singh, Clerk, Municipal Corporation, Advertisement Branch, NIT, Faridabad red handed while accepting bribe of Rs. 8,000.
- Chandigarh, February 19: Haryana State Vigilance Bureau (SVB) has caught Narender Singh, Clerk, Municipal Corporation, Advertisement Branch, NIT, Faridabad red handed while accepting bribe of Rs. 8,000.
- Divulging more information in this regard the spokesman of the Bureau said that Amar Singh, resident of Khedi Kalan, District Faridabad made a complaint at State Vigilance Bureau, Faridabad that he is doing the work of affixing flex board for advertisement. He affixed the flex board of Amrita Homes on February 1, 2021 which was got destroyed by Narender Singh, Clerk. When he asked Narender Singh about this, he demanded Rs. 10,000 for affixing the flex board for 10 days and thereafter Rs. 3000 on monthly basis. Amar Singh said that he had already given Rs. 2,000 to Narender Singh and Narender Singh asked for the remaining Rs. 8,000.
- After receiving the information, a case under the Prevention of Corruption Act was registered in Police Station, SVB, Faridabad and a team headed by Inspector Tribhawan Singh, SVB, Faridabad was constituted. Sh. Jan Mohd., Tehsildar, Faridabad was appointed as Duty Magistrate. The team of SVB apprehended Narender Singh, Clerk in the presence of Duty Magistrate and shadow witness while accepting Rs. 8000 from the complainant. The accused is being interrogated thoroughly. The investigation of the case is in progress.
