Haryana Government has decided to start regular classes in schools from March 1, 2021 for students of Class I and II.
- Chandigarh, February 24 – Haryana Government has decided to start regular classes in schools from March 1, 2021 for students of Class I and II. The schools timings will be from 10 am to 1:30 pm. The schools have already opened for students of classes III and above.
- Sharing information in this regard, an official spokesperson said that the parents of the students have to submit a consent letter to the school head / class teacher before sending them to schools. Besides this, parents who want to continue online education can continue to do so. The government has decided that the schools shall not compel the parents to send their wards nor will the student’s name will be dropped from school due to absence during this duration.
- The spokesperson said that the guidelines issued in view of the COVID-19 pandemic should be adhered to. Besides this, it will be mandatory for the schools to maintain a record of the body temperature of each student and teacher everyday. The student shall not be allowed to enter the school premises if his/her temperature is above normal. The data in this regard should be provided to the nodal officer of the Health Department as well as the Chief Medical Officer and Deputy Commissioner’s Office.
- The spokesperson said that the entire school is divided into Senior Secondary, Secondary, Middle and Primary Wings. If any student is found to be COVID-19 positive, the said wing will be closed for 10 days and the entire school will be sanitized. If more than one student is found to be COVID-19 positive in one wing then the entire school will be closed for 10 days. This decision will be applicable on government schools as well as private schools across the state.
