Haryana Health Department has administered 84,950 vaccine doses to the beneficiaries on the second ‘Mega Vaccination Day’ of the week today across the state.
- Chandigarh, April 6 – Haryana Health Department has administered 84,950 vaccine doses to the beneficiaries on the second ‘Mega Vaccination Day’ of the week today across the state.
- Sharing information in this regard, Additional Chief Secretary, Health Sh. Rajeev Arora said that Tuesday being a ‘Mega Vaccination Day’ the Health Department had administered 84,950 vaccine doses to beneficiaries and by adding today’s figures the consolidated number will be 20,97,282 doses till today.
- Sharing information on the Vaccination Centres across the state Sh. Arora said that today there are 1,181 Vaccination Centres across the state which were evenly spread. He elaborated that these Centres have been strategically placed in highly populated areas across the state and even in the rural areas to ensure maximum penetration of the vaccine so as to curtail the spread of highly contagious COVID-19 virus. Most of the beneficiaries were above 45 years of age, he added.
- On the administration of vaccines to Health Care Workers (HCWs), Frontline Workers (FLWs) and others, Sh. Arora said that 1,90,289 Health Care Workers (HCWs) have been administered the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine and around 1,15,038 Health Care Workers (HCWs) have been administered the second dose. Sharing the details of the Frontline Workers (FLWs) he said that 1,20,543 FLWs have been administered the first dose of the vaccine and 43,916 FLWs have been administered the second dose. The first dose of vaccine administered to beneficiaries above 45 years is 79,027 doses and the second dose has been administered to 3,277 beneficiaries. Also, around 16.23 lakh doses of vaccine were administered to beneficiaries above 45 years till today.
