Ever since the launch of the first iPad, Apple has been trying to get consumers to replace their laptops with it. While it can work well for folks who only use their computer to surf the web and use social media.
It has never quite stuck for the creative types the way it was initially marketed. This has started to change with 2019’s launch of iPad OS – a brand new OS for turning iPads a lot more like computers than iPhones.
This update added features such as external storage support and USB C. However, this isn’t a cause for celebration as these are somethings that were expected years ago, and as always Apple has been late to the party.
Last year’s update also added mouse support, however it was seen as an accessibility feature for people who couldn’t correctly operate a touch screen.
This changes now as Apple has revamped its mouse support, and also added trackpads to iPad Pro Keyboards.
As for its power, it seems more powerful than the previous editions as it also collaborates with Adobe for powerful, desktop-level applications for creative editing including the well-awaited Adobe Photoshop for iPad.
