Best New Year’s Resolutions Ideas
New Year’s Resolutions
New Year’s Resolutions – The new year is almost upon us and many of us will be setting one or more New Year’s Resolutions. Sadly, for most of us new year’s resolutions suck. That’s because most of these well-intentioned declarations are abandoned quickly.
The fact that you have a desire to make some sort of change indicates that you do want to improve something about your life. Luckily, there are many things that you can to do help your resolutions succeed.
So here we go….
Eight dimensions for goal-attainment that one should consider:
#1. Know what you want
Make a bucket list for the new year and jot down the things you want to achieve this year.
#2. Do something productive everyday
Nothing can be achieved overnight. Set mini goals and take baby steps daily to work towards your goal.
#3. Write your goals down and use checklists
Having a checklist in your hand at the end of the day to cut down all the goals you achieved on that day can be very satisfying and motivating.
#4. Genuine possibility
Make goals that are attainable and measurable i.e. find honest possibility in achieving your goal and avoid creating insubstantial goals. Make goals you are confident enough to achieve.
#5. Make it enjoyable
Reward yourself for achieving your goal or even for working towards it.
#6. Make your goals wholeheartedly
Instead of just setting goals, strive for something you truly desire in life. Thrive to achieve goals that are personally rewarding and not for some external reward. Make goals that you truly want to achieve for self-happiness and satisfaction. You will achieve a goal only if you truly want to achieve it.
#7. Be selective with Your Attention
Don’t waste your time upon winning some stupid argument. To work towards your goal, it’s important to use your time wisely and to keep yourself away from negativity. Choose your friends wisely.
#8. Self-Confidence
At last, the most important thing is self-reputation and self-motivation. What you think of yourself and what you think you can really achieve will help you set your goals for not just a year, but for your whole life.
Don’t make new year resolutions because someone is doing so or someone told you to do so. Make them for self-improvement.
“For last year’s words belong to last year’s language
And the next year’s words await another voice”
Happy 2020!
