Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur presided over a function organized to commemorate 75 years of foundation of Himachal Pradesh at Kansa Ground of Balh Vidhan Sabha constituency today.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister inaugurated and laid foundation stones of 9 developmental projects worth Rs 54.56 crore. He inaugurated the Lunapani-Sain road upgraded at a cost of Rs 4.31 crore, Paidi-Dhadvahan road constructed with Rs 1.17 crore, remodelling of Gatti Nagchala lift irrigation scheme worth 92 lakh, lift water supply scheme of Rs 11.29 crore for Rewalsar town and Electricity Divisional Office Ner Chowk.
Chief Minister also laid the foundation stone of fruit and vegetable sub-market Jarlu to be constructed at a estimated cost of Rs 21.04 crore and Sakroha-Naina Mata Mandir-Pipli-Ndaul-Kausala-Malwana road to be constructed with Rs.8.32 crore. He also laid the foundation stone of Lakhwan-Dahanu-Banshot-Rathol-Andretta-Mairamsit road which will be constructed with the estimated cost of Rs. 6.01 crore and water supply scheme worth Rs. 1.5 crore for the various villages of Gram Panchayat Kasarla.
Addressing a huge public meeting on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that the state government had established Atal Medical University at Nerchowk and a mini secretariat is being constructed in Balh area with a cost of Rs 11 crore. Building of Government College, Rewalsar was constructed at a cost of Rs 5 crore and about Rs 101 crore has been spent on the construction of roads and bridges in Balh constituency.
Chief Minister said that Rs 9.11 crore were spent on Amla Galu-Gadyatar road, Rs 5 crore on bridge over Galma Khad and Rs. 3 crore on Ropri-Khudi road. He said that HPSEB Sub-Division building has been constructed in Rewalsar at a cost of Rs. one crore. CHC Rewalsar has been upgraded to Civil Hospital and PHC Gagal has been upgraded to Community Health Centre. Total amount of Rs 179.44 crore has been spent on 18 drinking water and 7 other schemes of Balh constituency under Jal Jeevan Mission, added Jai Ram Thakur.
Chief Minister said that the Milk Processing Plant Chakkar was constructed with an expenditure of Rs 16.31 crore. He said that a green field airport would be built in Balh area with an investment of about Rs 11,000 crore which would boost the tourism and employment in whole valley.
He said that unprecedented development of the State has taken place during the tenure of the present State Government. He said that 55, 249 complaints have been resolved through Jan Manch and 4,21,586 complaints were heard under Mukhya Mantri Seva Sankalp Helpline. Social security pension is being given to 7,20,514 eligible persons.
He said that 3.08 lakhs people have been benefited under HIMCARE Yojna with an expenditure of Rs. 285.35 crore. 20,000 needy people are being benefited under Sahara Yojna.
Jai Ram Thakur said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has special attachment with Himachal and its people. Himachal Pradesh is making rapid progress in every field with the generous financial assistance of the Central Government.
Chief Minister said that in spite of COVID pandemic, the State Government did not let to hamper the development of State. All possible help was provided to the needy during this crisis. While mentioning the glorious journey of the State, Jai Ram Thakur said that Himachal Pradesh has emerged as a model state in the country.
On this occasion local MLA Inder Singh Gandhi thanked the Chief Minister for inaugurating and laying foundation stones of developmental projects worth crores of rupees in Balh area. He also thanked CM for the development works done in the valley during the tenure of present state government.
A documentary on the glorious journey of 75 years of Himachal Pradesh was also screened on the occasion. An exhibition showing the development of Himachal Pradesh since its formation was also displayed.
MLA Sundernagar Rakesh Jamwal, MLA Nachan Vinod Kumar, Chairman Milk Federation Nihal Chand Sharma, Chairman Zila Parishad Pal Verma, Deputy Commissioner Arindam Chaudhary, Superintendent of Police Shalini Agnihotri and other dignitaries were present on the occasion.
