CM dedicates developmental projects of Rs. 31 crore for Jubbal-Kotkhai Vidhan Sabha Area

Giri Ganga to be developed as a major tourist destination

Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur during his one day visit to Jubbal Kotkhai Vidhan Sabha area of Shimla district inaugurated and laid foundation stones of developmental projects worth about Rs 31 crores for the area. He inaugurated Ground Water Supply Scheme (GWSS) for various PC habitations of census village Sundli, Nehnar and Guntu in Gram Panchayat Jaipidi Mata of tehsil Jubbal constructed at a cost of Rs. 61 lakh.

Chief Minister laid foundation stones of Car Parking at Jubbal to be constructed at a cost of Rs. six crore, LWSS/GWSS for various PC habitations in Gram panchayats Kiari, Panog, Bagahar, Parali (K) and Shilli (K) to cover Functional Household Taps Connection (FHTC) of left out households in Kotkhai tehsil to be built at a cost of Rs. 4.99 crore, LWSS/GWSS to various PC habitations in Gram Panchayat Darkoti, Garawang, Bagdomehar and Pandli to cover FHTC of left out households in tehsil Kotkhai to be constructed with an outlay of Rs. 2.87 crore, Rs. 1.12 crore LWSS/GWSS to various PC habitations under Gram Panchayats Devgarh, Gumma, Himari, Premnagar and Nagan to cover FHTC of left out households in tehsil Kotkhai.

Jai Ram Thakur also laid foundation stones of LWSS to Saradhar-Farog and Naksateli-Dharikuppar-Garot and its surrounding area in Gram Panchayat Pujarli No. 3 and Dharara  in tehsil Tikkar to be constructed at a cost of Rs. 2.92 crore, Rs. 1.48 crore LWSS to village Rokhaltupani and its surrounding area in GP Pujarli No. 4 in tehsil Tikkar,  Rs. 2.80 crore widening and metalling/tarring of link road Bakhrail Kainchi to Kullu Jubbar via Jarahi Top Oddi under NABARD, rupees one crore LWSS/GWSS to various PC habitations under Gram Panchayat Jhalta and Bholar to cover FHTC of left out households in tehsil Jubbal.

Chief Minister performed foundation laying ceremonies of LWSS/GWSS to various PC habitations under Gram Panchayat Guma, Kirvi, Kalbog, Bakhol, Ratnari and Baghi to cover FHTC of left out households in tehsil Kotkhai to be constructed at a cost of Rs. 89 lakh, Rs. 87 lakh GWSS to PC habitations Bouli, Badhalwali and adjoining villages in Gram Panchayat Badhal in tehsil Jubbal, Rs. 85 lakh GWSS to Deora in tehsil Jubbal and Rs. 80 lakh NH Sub Division Office at Kharapather.

While addressing a public meeting at Kaharapathar Chief Minister said that the State Government was ensuring alround development of this Vidhan Sabha area. He said that the during the month of July this year he had virtually inaugurated and laid foundation stones of developmental projects worth Rs 270 crore. He said that today he has dedicated projects worth Rs.31 crore for the people of the area. He said that this year alone he had laid foundation stones and inaugurated projects worth Rs 301 crore in the area.

Chief Minister said that efforts would be made to develop Giri Ganga as a major tourist destination. He said that Hatkoti temple was a major religious destination of Shimla district and the State Government would ensure that it was beautified and properly maintained.

Jai Ram Thakur said that the Corona virus  had forced everyone to rethink and re-plan their developmental priorities. He said that all the officers need to  re-plan their priorities and also re-fix the goals for time bound completion of various developmental projects in the area. He said that the country was safe in the hands of Prime Minister Narendra Modi who have taken timely decisions to effectively tackle the Corona pandemic. He also urged the people to maintain social distancing and use face masks to check spread of this diseases.

 Chief Minister said that the State Government has started several welfare and development oriented programmes in the State, which got adversely affected due to the pandemic. He said that the State Government ensured that the horticulturists do not face difficulty in marketing their produce due to the virus. He said that the State Government made adequate arrangements of labourers and marketing to facilitate the farmers. He said that about three years tenure of the State Government has ensured equitable development of the State.

 Jai Ram Thakur said that about 2.50 lakh people of the State stranded in different parts of the country were brought back by the State Government. He said that although this resulted in steep increase in the number of Covid-19 patients but it was the duty of the Government to bring back its people. He said that that the Congress leaders even submitted a bill of Rs 12  crore regarding facemasks and santizers to the Congress High command whereas on the other hand the Government spent Rs 13 crore to provide masks, sanitizers, providing food and on bringing back lakhs of youths to the State. He said that this shows how the State Congress leaders did not even hesitate in fleecing their own party.

Chief Minister said that ‘Janmanch’ and Chief Minister Helpline 1100 had been proving a boon to the people of the State in redressal of their grievances at their doorsteps. He said that  45,000 complaints have been redressed in ‘Janmanch’ and over one lakh complaints redressed through Chief Minister Helpline-1100. He said that the Government would take strict action against the persons making fake calls and false allegations on this helpline. He said that in very first cabinet meeting of the present State Government lowered  the age limit for availing the benefits of old age pension without any income limit from 80 years to 70 years. He said that this decision has benefitted about 2.90 lakh old people of the State.

 Jai Ram Thakur said that under the HIMCARE scheme as many as 1.11 lakh people of the State have been benefitted till date. He said that under Sahara Yojna Rs 3000 per month was being provided to the families with chronic ill patients. He said that Ujjawala Yojna of Central Government and Grihini Suvidha Yojna of the State Government had ensured a Smoke Free Himachal. He said that as many as 2.80 lakh gas connections were provided in the State under the Himachal Grihini Suvidha Yojna. He said that Mukhyamantri Swavalamban Yojna has proved a boon the youth of the State in starting their self employment ventures.  He also detailed several historic decisions taken by the Union Government under able leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Earlier on his arrival at College Ground Saraswatinagar, Chief Minister was accorded rousing welcome by the local leaders and people of the area.

Jai Ram Thakur also inspected the work on construction of eight lane 400 meter Synthetic Track with Sub Base and other allied works at existing playground at Saraswati Nagar being constructed by spending an amount of Rs 12.42 crore. He directed the officers to ensure time bound completion of this track.

 Chief Minister also performed puja at famous Hatkoti Temple and laid foundation stone of parking and beautification at Maa Durga Temple Hatkoti.

 Forest Minister Rakesh Pathania said that people of Jubbal-Kotkhai must ensure that the developmental works goes uninterrupted in the constituency for this it was vital that BJP again comes to power in the State.

Member of Parliament and State BJP President Suresh Kashyap said that the area has witnessed unparalleled development and credit of this goes to the able leadership of Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur and strong representation in form of Narinder Bragta. He also detailed various welfare schemes of the Centre and State Government.

Local MLA and Chief Whip State BJP Narinder Bragta welcomed the Chief Minister and other dignitaries present on the occasion. He said that the Chief Minister has successfully guided the State during the Corona pandemic. He thanked the Chief Minister for being considerate towards the developmental needs of the people of his constituency. He said that the State was making rapid strides in the matter of development under the able leadership of Jai Ram Thakur. He also thanked the Chief Minister for opening Fire Station at Jubbal. He said that the people of his constituency contributed Rs 78 lakh towards CM Covid Fund. He said that this was the only constituency of the State, which do not have its own SDM Office. He urged the Chief Minister to open SDM offices at Jubbal-Kotkhai Block at Kotkhai to facilitate the people of the area. He also detailed various developmental demands of the area. He also urged the Chief Minister to develop Giri Ganga from tourism point of view, Deorighat as a paragliding destination and water reservoir of Sawara Kudda Project as a water sports destination.

 BJP Mandal President Gopal Jabiak welcomed the Chief Minister and other dignitaries present on the occasion.

Vice Chairman State Khadi Board Purshotam Guleria, Vice Chairman Land Mortgage Bank Shashi Bala, Chairman APMC Shimla Kinnaur Naresh Sharma, Deputy Commissioner Shimla Aditya Negi, SP Mohit Chawla were present on the occasion among others.
