Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur while presiding over a review meeting regarding celebrations of 50 years of Statehood of Himachal Pradesh on 25 January, 2021 through video conference from here today directed the Deputy Commissioners to organize the Statehood Day function in a befitting manner at district as well as sub-divisional level.
The Chief Minister said that all the Deputy Commissioners would ensure to organize district level programme at district headquarters on the theme of Golden Jubilee Celebration. All the SDMs would also organize such functions at sub-division headquarters. He said that programme in their respective districts should be organized in such a manner that it conclude by 11 AM positively. He said that after the functions held at district and sub divisional level, the State level function to be held at Shimla would be telecast live in all these places.
Jai Ram Thakur said that prominent persons of the area besides other achievers could be requested to be chief guest of the event. The invitation should also be extended to newly elected PRIs and Urban Local Bodies representatives of the area. The active participation of mahila mandals, yuvak mandals and other bodies must be ensured to be part of this celebration. He said that proper sitting arrangements must be ensured by maintaining social distance and proper use of face masks.
He directed all the Deputy Commissioners to coordinate all the programmes to be held in their respective districts.
The Deputy Commissioners gave various suggestions for organising this event in a befitting manner.

Education Minister Gobind Thakur, Director Tourism Yunus, Special Secretary Rakesh Kanwar, Deputy Commissioner, Shimla Aditya Negi, Director, Information and Public Relations Harbans Singh Brascon, Director LAC Suneel Sharma, Commissioner, Municipal Corporation Ashish Kohli, SP Shimla Mohit Chawla, Joint Secretary SAD Sachin Kanwal and other senior officers attended the meeting.
