Last Saturday, Italy’s government imposed a nationwide lockdown to control the spread of COVID-19. Many students flew from Milan to Chennai. The same is the case with a Tamil Nadu man who flew to Chennai. But that hasn’t prevented him from attending the classes. He attends his classes daily through online mode which is conducted by his professors daily from Politecnico di Milano. These classes go through online mode from 1 om to 9 pm daily.
Tamiloli, a master’s student of mechanical engineering says that his classes are going to begin from March 3 after the vacation. But the classes had been postponed due to the COVID-19 outbreak. The university had decided to start online classes to keep the studies going.
Many students have been attracted to Italy for the studies of Engineering, as they also provide better job opportunities. But due to the 60 million people on lockdown in Italy, and a death toll of 168, many foreign students have had returned home and continued the virtual classes.
