DODA, MARCH 15:– District Development Commissioner Doda, Dr Sagar D Doifode yesterday visited COVID-19 Screening nakkah at Assar to take stock of arrangements being put in place for screening of passengers, coming from outside country, from other states and from other districts of J&K as well.
DDC reviewed the preparation of the health department in screening the Doda as well as kishtwar bound passengers and said because it is the main entry point of the twin district’s, it is necessary to screen all the inward movement of each and every passenger very carefully.
During the inspection he asked the Doctors, health field staff, Police officials deputed at the entry point to properly check the passengers as per protocol and instructed BMO Assar to keep two No Contact Infrared thermometers 24×7 at nakkah so that the temperature of every passing passenger can be recorded, besides to esquire the travel history of passenger’s at entry point because if any suspected passenger having travel history of abroad or to any affected countries besides with flu-like symptoms can be shifted to the District hospital for further course of action immediately.
He also checked the log book, entry register and other essential things such as availability masks, hand gloves, sanitizers, etc for the screening teams besides also inquired about the number of passengers that visited Doda, Kishtwar, Bhaderwah and Gandoh and other areas of the district on daily basis and also inquired about the trend, of which area most of the foreign passengers visited if any.
Besides DDC exhorted upon them to invariably inform the district as well as health authorities about the daily trend and also directed them to maintain the record of every inward movement on registers without any fail.
Others who accompanied the DDC during the inspection were SDM Assar Rishi Sharma, Tehsildar, BDO Assar, SHO Assar besides other officials of health and police administration.
