On the demand of traders, the district administration Doda has allowed opening of all essential and non-essential shops in the district except salons, restaurants and shopping malls throughout the day.
Earlier, there was limited timing for the traders to open their shops but now administration has allowed them to open their shops for full day.
Doda district alongwith Kishtwar and Poonch district falls in green zone area and no COVID-19 positive case has been detected from the district so far. As precautionary measures administration had allowed opening of shops with essential items in first phase but later on allowed the non-essential shops also to open but for a limited period.
“We have decided to allow all shops, essential and non-essentials, to open throughout the day except salons, restaurants and malls, but they will have to follow the SOPs like social distancing already in place,” said Sagar D. Doifode, deputy commissioner Doda.
