Draupadi Murmu Family, Education, Personal Life, and Husband
Draupadi Murmu was born on June 20, 1958, to Biranchi Narayan Tudu and a Santali tribal family in the Uparbeda village in the Mayurbhanj district of Odisha. Under the Panchayati Raj Systems, her father and grandparents were in charge of their own villages. Banker Shyam Charan Murmu, whom Draupadi Murmu wed, passed away in 2014. The couple had a daughter named Itishri Murmu and two boys, both of whom died.

Draupadi Murmu began her career as a teacher before transitioning into state politics. Murmu held positions as a Junior Assistant in the Government of Odisha’s Irrigation Department and as an Assistant Professor at the Shri Aurobindo Integral Education and Research Institute in Rairangpur.

being a resident in a less developed region Draupadi completed her studies at a women’s college, and in 1997, she began her political career by winning a seat on the Rairangpur Nagar Panchayat council. She has held the position of BJP Party National Vice President. Draupadi was ultimately able to become the first tribal governor of Jharkhand by performing well at the party.
The lady has also held the position as Minister of State with Independent Charge for Development of Animal Resources, Fisheries, and Transport. She also served as an MLA for four years, from 2000 to 2004. - Draupadi’s political career began in 1997 when she was chosen to represent the Rairangpur district of Odisha as a councillor. She served as Vice-Chairperson of Rairangpur in the same year. She worked there for a year.
- Mrs. Murmu was later elected to a cabinet position in the BJP after winning the 2004 assembly elections in the Rairangpur constituency. From 2000 to 2004, she was worked for the department of transport, trade, fisheries, and animal husbandry.
- In 2004, she won the assembly elections, and this time, the BJP picked her to run for the Rairangpur seat.
- She was elected in 2006 to be both the District President of the BJP in Mayurbhanj and the State President of the BJP Scheduled Tribe Morcha. Between 2006 until 2009, she served in that capacity.
- In May 2015, she was appointed to be the ninth Governor of Jharkhand, and she held that role until May 2021. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) put her up as a candidate for India’s presidency in the 2022 elections.
