Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar Inaugurated the International Folk Dance Festival Kullu Dussehra-2022 today evening at the famous Lal Chand Prarthi Kala Kendra in Kullu.
While greeting the people on the occasion of Dussehra festival, the Governor said that Kullu is famous for its unique Dussehra festival. He said, nature has blessed Himachal Pradesh with amazing beauty and Kullu-Manali is famous all over the world for its unique natural beauty. The Governor said that the folk culture of Himachal Pradesh was very rich and the people of the state had preserved this culture even today. He said, India is a country with a wonderful diverse culture and the imprint of this diversity is also visible in the folk culture of Himachal Pradesh.
The Governor said that the Prime Minister had termed the period till the year 2047 as ‘Amrit Kaal’ for India. During this period, every countryman should contribute his best to make India a prosperous nation.
Deputy Commissioner-cum-Vice Chairman, International Dussehra Festival Organizing Committee, Ashutosh Garg welcomed the Governor and gave detailed information regarding the festival.
MLA Surendra Shourie, HPMC Vice Chairman Ram Singh, Agro Industries Vice Chairman Yuvraj Bodh, Superintendent of Police Gurudev Sharma and other officers were also present in the inauguration ceremony.
Earlier, the Governor also inaugurated the exhibitions put up by various departments, PSUs and various institutions at the exhibition ground.
