Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal Today Distributed 67 Tablets

Chandigarh, August 16- Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal today distributed 67 tablets under e-Governance to Patwaris and Kanungos in Gurugram. During this, he advised the patwaris to work in a careful manner and said that if they do not work properly, then mistakes will be caught by the computers. If a patwari inadvertently makes a mistake while entering the data, then the Deputy Commissioner will support them.

On this occasion, Sh. Manohar Lal said that there have been revolutionary changes in technology as well, in such a situation that due to the availability of tablets to the patwaris, the work will be done on time and there will be less chances of mistakes in record keeping. Maintenance will also be done properly. Now if the Patwari makes any mistake, then his mistake will be caught through the software of the tablet. He said that the work of Patwari is that of great responsibility and once any incorrect data goes on record then litigation starts. He said that Patwaris are well educated and can easily learn to use these tablets.

The Chief Minister said that 85 lakh acres of land is registered in Haryana under Meri Fasal-Mera Byora Scheme and farmers have to give information about the crop sown by them in their fields. Not only this, data about every family of the state is being prepared in which details like age, caste, income etc. will be used to give the benefit of government services in a proactive manner. As soon as the person is eligible for government schemes, he will be connected to the government schemes through digital medium and he will get the benefit of these schemes sitting at home. He said that through this process real time population data will also be collected.
Giving another example of e-Governance, he said that now the offices of revenue, Chief Minister’s Office, Chief Secretary’s Office and Finance Department etc. are running through e-Office. Similarly, the departments which have more public dealing are also being linked to the e-Office system. The Chief Minister said that Haryana Vidhan Sabha has also been made e-Vidhan Sabha recently, due to which paper will be saved and the environment will be protected. He said that while promoting e-Governance, tablets have also been distributed to 7 lakh students of class X, XI and XII in the state, making Haryana the first state in the world to distribute tablets on such a large scale.

The Chief Minister also discussed with the Patwaris and Revenue Officers regarding better maintenance of revenue records.
Speaking on the occasion, Gurugram Deputy Commissioner, Sh. Nishant Kumar Yadav said that Patwari and Kanungo have to conduct field work for Girdawari, Meri Fasal Mera Byora, Parivar Pehchan Patra related work like caste verification etc. In such a situation, to increase the efficiency of the Patwaris, it was decided to digitize the system and 67 tablets were purchased for the Patwaris. Time will be saved through the software of these tablets and reports will be generated on real time basis with longitude and latitude details. A committee was constituted by the district administration regarding the tablets, after which they were procured. The Patwaris will keep these tablets with them and if the Patwari is transferred in future, then whoever comes on Patwari duty in his place will be given that tablet.
On this occasion, Security Advisor to Chief Minister, Sh. Anil Kumar Rao, Media Advisor to Chief Minister, Sh. Amit Arya, and many other officials were present during the programme.
