A delegation of Himachal Pradesh Police Services officers under the leadership of Superintendent of Police (CID) Sandeep Bhardwaj called on the Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur, here today. The delegation thanked the Chief Minister for increasing the uniform allowance and providing various benefits including promotion to the HPPS officers.
The Chief Minister said that the State Government was always committed for the welfare of all the officers and employees and all their due benefits had been provided from time to time. Congratulating all the promoted officers, he said that they should work with full responsibility and dedication. He said that police officers play an important role in maintaining law and order in the state and they should discharge their duties with integrity.
The Chief Minister also presented emblems to all the promoted HPPS officers on the occasion.
The members of the delegation said that while solving the technical aspects in the promotion of Deputy Superintendent of Police, the State Government had simultaneously promoted 18 officers to the post of Additional Superintendent of Police. This was probably the first time that such a large number of officers of this cadre had been promoted simultaneously.
