Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) have postponed the last date of the application process for the candidates wanting admission in MD/MS courses in the university. The last date of the application is now April 23, 2020.
Earlier, the last date of application was April 9, 2020, which has been extended now due to nationwide lockdown following its spread in India.
The official statement read as follows:
The notification posted on the website read- It is informed that the last date of the online application of entrance examination for admission in MD/MS, PDCC/PDF, MDS Courses July 2020 session have been rescheduling as detailed below due to the existing situation of nationwide lockdown because of COVID-19 pandemic.
Candidates will be able to download their hall tickets on May 6, 2020.
There is still a chance for the candidates who have not yet registered for the examination by visiting the JIPMER website. And the aspirants who have registered are requested to keep a regular check on the official website for any details and updates about the exam.
Many universities & colleges are extending their admission process due to the nationwide lockdown imposed amid the novel coronavirus outbreak in the country. People who have travel history and certain symptoms like cough and fever are getting tested in the country. It has been declared as a pandemic by WHO.
