Jawahar Lal Nehru (JNU) entrance exam application deadline has been extended amidst the corona outbreak, for the centre has imposed a lockdown.
The students’ union requested the varsity administration to extend the deadline because of the national lockdown imposed by the Centre to arrest the spread of COVID-19.
JNU VC M Jagadesh Kumar said, “challenging time is going on where to contain the spread of pandemic such as COVID-19 in India- there is lockdown; the application deadline for the JNUEE has been extended and students can particularly use this time for the preparations and filling up of application. Wish all the JNU aspirants good luck.”

The total number of coronavirus cases across the country climbed to 1590. The death toll due to the COVID-19 rose to 45, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said.
