New Apple Silicon Macbooks to Land in 2020

Recently when the Apple WWDC was conducted in June, the brand announced the transition from Intel to Arm-based chips to take place at the end of this year. Several developers have anticipated much bigger changes regarding the news of Apple Silicon launch, and news has come in that Apple will soon release its new Arm-based variants of MacBook Pro and Macbook Air. With the launch of the new lineup of the Macbooks, it is expected that the sales will outgrow the previous records and will reach around 16-17 million units as compared to 15.5 million units sold earlier.

This news has been approved by Apple Insiders, and the claims have echoed those of some reliable analysts who said that the Arm-based Macbook Pro will hit mass production at the end of this year, and the Macbook Air will launch by early 2021. The news focuses on the 13-inch MacBooks, though the much anticipated 14-inch Macbook and new 16-inch Macbook with Arm chips might be released in 2021. Much to our surprise, a newer version of the Ipad which would be a 10.8-inch screen will be released in the second half of this year and it will be powered by the A12 Bionic chip making it more powerful and affordable.

Rumors suggest that Apple will be able to lower the price of the Macbooks as now it has to no more pay Intel for custom made chips since the Arm-based ones will be manufactured by Apple itself. Thus making a cost-effective decision, Apple can launch a combined product of the two Macbook Pro and Macbook Air as “The New Macbook”, since both will be powered by the same chip offering the same performance.
