Police Arrests HM Militant from Gundna in District Doda, Jammu

Doda, May 5: 

Police has arrested an active militant of Hizbul Mujahiddin militant outfit Tanvir Hussain from Tantna area of Gundna in district Doda this morning.

Police has recovered a Chinese pistol, 10 rounds, one knife and Rs 41100 from his possession.

Giving details, SP operations Doda Raj Kumar said that Tanvir Hussain was missing since February 9. “Based on an intelligence input of presence of a militant in Sheikhpora area of Gundna, police, Army and CRPF laid a mid-night siege around the village. At around 5 am, a house was raided where a militant Tanvir Ahmed, son of late Jamal Din Malik of Tantna area of Gundna, was apprehended. From his possession, a pistol was recovered alongwith 10 rounds, one knife and Rs 41100,” the SP said.

Initial interrogation revealed that he was earlier associated with Haroon (militant of HM outfit killed in January) and at present with Tahir of Pulwama and Masood of Doda (both active terrorists of HM in Doda).
