School education minister Harjot Singh Bains visits government middle school Gochar
Chandigarh, August 9:
In order to improve the standard of education as directed by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, Punjab Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains, on Tuesday, visited the Government Middle School, Gochar to experience the actual condition of the school.
During the visit, many shortcomings came to the fore. The students were deprived of basic facilities and the school building was in a dilapidated state. The boundary wall of the school had fallen from many places and the electrical fittings were also in shambles. The electricity supply has to be cut off during the summer and rainy season to protect the children from electrocution. Likewise, the school playground was also in very bad condition.
The Education Minister directed the Junior Engineer of the department to submit a report immediately to resolve all the problems of the school.
S. Harjot Singh Bains also appreciated the teachers, who have been teaching the students in deplorable conditions for the past several years and encouraged the students.
