A super cyclonic storm Amphan is on the urge to inflict a devastating blow in the mouth of the Bay of Bengal, which includes the parts of India, Myanmar, and low-lying Bangladesh.
The storm was rated as Category 5 with maximum sustained winds of 165 miles per hour and gusts to 200 mph when it reaches the upper end of the storm intensity scale. Although Cyclone Amphan has been ranked as the most powerful storm in the Northern Hemisphere and the strongest tropical cyclone to occur in the Bay of Bengal so far this year. It is believed that it might damage the heavily populated and low-lying areas.
Since there is a climate change that is why the hurricanes are growing stronger day by day.
Although, the storm is becoming an eyewall replacement cycle in this storm’s inner ring of the thunderstorms and powerful winds lose steam as an outer ring forms and contracts, causing a temporary hiccup in storm intensity.
It’s unclear how much intensity the storm will regain once this is complete, but it’s now likely it will remain an intense tropical cyclone right through landfall on Wednesday, Eastern time.
Currently, it has been predicted that the cyclone Amphan has been likely to make landfall in Kolkata. Although the government has been evacuated the people in coastal areas. The Union Home Minister Amit Shah assured the proper help to the states.
It is one of the complicating factors this year as the world is already battling the Covid-19 pandemic. If the flood hits the country then the chances of spread of coronavirus will increases as stated by the Union Health Ministry.
