Chandigarh, August 23 – The Vice Chancellor of Chaudhary Devi Lal University (CDLU), Sirsa, Professor Ajmer Singh Malik said that new benchmarks can be set by promoting research work activities in the university. He said that along with academic research, academic institutions should also focus on industry centric research.
Professor Ajmer Singh Malik said this while presiding over a meeting of International Quality Assurance Cell today.
In this meeting, discussion was held to promote entrepreneurship with the aim of creating new employment opportunities in the state. Important issues regarding future plans including the exit report of second cycle of NAAC Peer Team were also discussed in detail.
The Vice Chancellor said that it is the priority of CDLU to inculcate human values in the students by providing quality education. He directed the Dean of Academic Affairs to organise a monthly meeting of all the Heads of the Departments to motivate them to work according to the fulfilment of various norms of NAAC. Prof. Malik said that all the departments should prepare their own activity calendar at the beginning of each academic session and the documentation of these activities should also be completed as per rules.
