Hisar Airport will be functional by next March- Sanjeev Kaushal
Chandigarh, August 23- The work of widening Karnal-Meerut road, NH 709-A to 6/4 laning has been completed by the Public Works Department of Haryana. More than Rs. 151 crores have been spent on its construction and it will be inaugurated soon.
This information was given in the Committee of Administrative Secretaries, Chaired by Chief Secretary, Sh. Sanjeev Kaushal, held here today to review projects worth more than Rs. 100 crore. About 39 projects worth more than Rs. 100 crore of 5 departments were discussed in the meeting.
The Chief Secretary said that speedy completion of big projects is one of the priorities of Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal. The administrative secretary should ensure to complete the work of these public welfare projects in a time bound manner keeping in mind the milestones fixed. Hisar Airport will be functional by next March.
It was informed in the meeting that the work of operational building, MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Overhauling) and cargo operation under Phase-II of Swarna Jayanti Integrated Aviation Hub is also being done at a fast pace. It was told in the meeting that due to the formation of MRO in Hisar, the aircrafts will not have to take far distance to get it repaired. This will save time and resources. The Airport will be functional by next March.
Renovation work of existing 11 KV feeder line of Gurugram Sector 14, 17, 30, 31, 32, 40 Jhadsa and DLF sub-division completed
In the meeting, projects worth Rs. 1,535.6 crore of the electricity department were reviewed. It was informed in the meeting that the renovation work of existing 11 KV feeder line of Gurugram Sector 14, 17, 30, 31, 32, 40, Jharsa and DLF sub-division has been completed and will be started soon. Similarly, under the Smart City programme, work is going on for renovation of existing 11 KV feeder line of Maruti and IDC Sub-division, South City and Kadipur sub-division and Sohna Road and New Colony sub-division, Gurugram. It was informed in the meeting that 4.89 lakh smart meters have been installed so far.
The work of increasing the capacity of Hansi branch feeder canal will be completed by the end of this month and the work of increasing the capacity of JLN feeder canal will be completed by the end of the year. Work is being done on 15 projects worth Rs. 5,666 crore by the Irrigation and Water Resources Department.
Regarding 15 projects being implemented by the Irrigation Department, Additional Chief Secretary, Sh. A.K. Singh informed that the work of construction of new Parallel Line Channel (PLC) from Dadupur to Hamida and remodeling of WJC MLL form RD 0 to 68220 is going on in time. Apart from this, the work of augmenting the capacity of Hansi branch feeder canal is likely to be completed by the end of this month and the work of augmenting the capacity of JLN feeder canal will be completed by the end of the year. Apart from this, the projects of remodeling of GWS channel and restoration and development of Saraswati river were also discussed.
In the meeting, Sh. Singh informed that canal based drinking water supply work in 35 villages of Badhra constituency of Charkhi Dadri, improvement in water supply in 52 villages and 5 dhanis of Nagina and Pingwan blocks of district Nuh and work of ensuring portable drinking water in 80 villages of Ferozepur Jhirka and will be executed in a time bound manner.
Construction of Government Medical College in Jind, construction work in Koriawas of Mahendragarh district will be completed by the coming year
It was informed in the meeting that the work of four laning of Rai Milkpur to Kharak corridor and Bhiwani bypass has been completed by the Public Works Department (Building and Roads), which has been inaugurated in the month of July. He added that 4 laning work of 7 kms on Pinjore bypass, construction of road from Faridabad to Greater Noida including bridge over Yamuna river is in progress. Apart from this, the construction work of Government Medical College at Jind, Koriawas in Mahendragarh district will be completed by the coming year. The construction of Rewari-Narnaul to Rewari-Jhajjar link road will be completed this year.
In the meeting, Additional Chief Secretary, Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Sh. PK Das, Additional Chief Secretary, Public Works Department (Building and Roads), Sh. Ankur Gupta, Additional Chief Secretary, Finance and Planning Department, Sh. Anurag Rastogi, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Sh. V Umashankar, Additional Principal Secretary to Chief Minister-2, Smt. Ashima Brar, Principal Secretary, Monitoring and Coordination Department, Sh. D Suresh and other senior officers were present.
