Walk in interview for 634 posts of medical officers on 9th & 10th November

In a major step forward for improving the health care facilities in the state of Punjab , the Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann led State Government is augmenting the workforce of the health department, the Directorate of Health & Family Welfare has issued a public notice for Walk in Interview to recruit 634 (Number of posts may increase or decrease) Medical Officers (Specialist) for the various specialities. The interview would be held on November 9 and 10th from 10:00 am onwards at Directorate Health and Family Welfare Punjab, Parivar Kalyan Bhawan, Sector-34-A, Chandigarh.
Disclosing this here today, the Health & Family Welfare Minister Chetan Singh Jauramajra said that ever since he took charge of the health department, he noticed that there is shortage of specialist doctors especially in the rural areas as previous governments have not bothered to improve the health care facilities in public health institutions of Punjab.
Disclosing more about this massive recruitment drive in the health department Mr. Jauramajra stated that these 634 vacancies comprise different specialities such as 103 pertaining to Medicine, General Surgery 78, Gynaecology 100, Paediatrics 122, Anaesthesia 75, Ortho 11, Radiology 31, ENT 16, Ophthalmology 16 , Skin & VD 24, Psychiatry 10, Chest & TB 6, Pathology 12, Microbiology 5, Community Medicine 4, BTO 9 and Forensic Medicine 12.

Candidates are requested to submit the online application form at https://nhm.punjab.gov.in/ till 01.11.2022. They are also requested to submit their all documents (Self attested) at the Directorate, Health and Family Welfare, Punjab, Parivar Kalyan Bhawan, Sector-34/A, Chandigarh at the time of counselling/ interview.
