In order to speed up the developmental process, which came to a standstill due to Lockdown, director of the rural development department, Sudarshan Kumar along with other concerned officers visited Doda today. Director RDD inspected several works which have been resumed after lockdown. The team of officers led by Director RDD visited two blocks viz Assar and Khelaini today. The team will go in other blocks in the next two days. Director was also approached by the delegations of local people who put forth several demands. Director assured them that after lockdown the department will not only resume its routine activities but also intensify the operation to compensate for the losses of laborers of Doda district.
Director told the media that he is visiting the area following the decision of the government to resume works after lockdown. He said that stress is being given to MGNREGA works to provide benefits to local laborers including those job card holders of Doda district who have come back to their native places from other states where they had gone for work
