Farmers March to Delhi Live Updates – Clashes with Police as Barricades Breached

Farmers, mainly from Haryana, Punjab, and Uttar Pradesh, are marching towards Delhi this Tuesday, demanding the government meet their needs, including a legal guarantee for the Minimum Support Price (MSP) for their crops.

The Samyukta Kisan Morcha (Non-Political) and Kisan Mazdoor Morcha have announced that the march to Delhi will commence on Tuesday following discussions between farmer union leaders and the government.

The farmers attempted to dismantle the multi-layered barricades with their tractors and makeshift weapons. Several were detained by the Haryana police as they advanced towards Delhi on Tuesday.

Footage from the scene shows farmers scattering into adjacent fields as the police resort to tear gas and water cannons to break up the gathering.

In a significant confrontation, farmers in Haryana’s Kurukshetra forcefully removed a concrete barricade.
