Haryana Cabinet Expansion New Ministers Sworn in Under Nayab Singh Saini’s Leadership
Last week, Nayab Singh Saini, the Member of Parliament from Kurukshetra, ascended to the role of Chief Minister of Haryana, succeeding Manohar Lal Khattar.
In a significant development, the Nayab Singh Saini-led administration in Haryana initiated its first cabinet expansion on Tuesday, welcoming eight MLAs as Ministers of State (Independent in charge). The swearing-in ceremony took place at the Raj Bhavan in Chandigarh, where Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatreya administered the oath of office and secrecy to the newly appointed ministers. Notably, former Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar graced the occasion with his presence.
The newly inducted ministers are as follows:
- Dr. Kamal Gupta, MLA from Hisar
- Seema Trikha, MLA from Badkhal
- Mahipal Dhanda, MLA from Panipat Rural
- Aseem Goel, MLA from Ambala City
- Abhe Singh Yadav, MLA from Nangal Chaudhary
- Subhash Sudha, MLA from Thanesar
- Bishamber Singh Balmiki, MLA from Bawani Khera
- Sanjay Singh, MLA from Sohna
Nayab Singh Saini, representing Kurukshetra in the Lok Sabha, assumed office as the Chief Minister of Haryana last week, succeeding Manohar Lal Khattar. Additionally, five other ministers, namely BJP leaders Kanwar Pal, Mool Chand Sharma, Jai Parkash Dalal, Banwari Lal, and independent MLA Ranjit Singh Chautala, were sworn in as members of the new council of ministers.
Post the oath-taking ceremony, Chief Minister Saini lauded the previous Khattar-led government, expressing gratitude, “Our newly formed cabinet wants to thank former CM Manohar Lal Khattar. He has given Haryana a new direction and has set a prime example of good governance. He initiated development projects in the state without any bias.”
Earlier in the day, Chief Minister Saini exuded confidence in the BJP’s performance in Haryana, expressing optimism that the party would retain all 10 Lok Sabha seats in the state. He also urged the people to “strengthen the hands of Prime Minister Modi.”
