Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann, wife Dr Gurpreet blessed with daughter

Punjab’s political landscape is adorned with the joyous arrival of a new member in Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s family. Amidst the bustling corridors of a hospital in Mohali, Mann and his wife, Dr. Gurpreet Kaur, welcomed their daughter into the world, both mother and child basking in the glow of good health.

In a heartfelt message conveyed in Punjabi, Mann expressed his gratitude for the precious gift bestowed upon them. “God has graced us with a daughter. Both mother and child are thriving,” he announced, radiating paternal pride.

Their journey together began on July 6, 2022, in the serene ambiance of Chandigarh, a union that blossomed shortly after Mann assumed the mantle of Punjab’s leadership on March 16, 2022.

This momentous occasion marks Mann’s third venture into fatherhood, his family expanding to include a son and a daughter from his previous marriage to Inderpreet Kaur. Since their parting in 2015, Inderpreet and their children, Seerat, 23, and Dilshan, 19, have made their home in the United States.

During his address on Republic Day in Ludhiana, Mann captivated the audience with a surprise revelation – the imminent arrival of a new addition to their household in March. Urging against the perils of sex determination tests, he passionately declared, “I eagerly await the arrival of our newest family member in March. My wife is currently seven months pregnant.
