Taj Hotels got Calls Threatening 26/11-Like Attack
The Taj Mahal Palace in Colaba and the Taj Lands End in Bandra had received the threat calls on their landline number. Taj Hotel is one of the very prestigious hotels in India. Last night these two Taj Hotels in South Mumbai received threat calls from Pakistan. The caller was threatening to carry a terror attack which will be similar to the 26/11. Mumbai police sources said that the security has been heightened in both the hotels and nearby the hotels.
Although, both the hotels have their respective security systems in the palace also the police are in the process of identifying the caller.
Taj Hotels said in a statement that they are proud to be a part of the fabric of this nation and the safety of the guests and associates is of paramount importance to them. Though they immediately alerted the authorities on receiving these calls and are providing full support and cooperation to the investigating agencies
“Our safety and security teams have ensured that all our protocols and guidelines are being followed towards safeguarding lives and assets. We would like to reassure our guests and associates that all adequate steps are being taken towards the safety of the premises,” the statement reads.
The Taj Mahal Palace in Colaba is an iconic place in Mumbai which had been targeted during the November 2008 Mumbai terror attacks. Heavily armed ten Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists attacked The Taj Mahal Palace hotel, Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus railway station, and Leopold Cafe, among other landmarks. The three-day siege left around 174 people dead and over 300 injured.
