Aryans Group of Colleges, Rajpura, Near Chandigarh & Fortis Hospital, Mohali jointly organized a webinar on Stress Management during the time of COVID-19. Ms Anchal Sharma, Counseling Psychologist interacted with the students of Engineering, Law, Management, Nursing, Pharmacy, B.Ed, Agriculture etc of Aryans. Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group presided over the webinar.
Anchal interacted with the students on various aspects being faced by the students during the lockdown including fear and anxiety about a new disease, Exams stress, Career stress, feeling of isolation and loneliness, financial situation, and quick remedies to come out of this stress.
Anchal while speaking said that during this time students are dealing with changes in sleep or eating patterns, difficulty sleeping or concentrating, Worsening of mental health conditions, Increased use of tobacco, and/or alcohol and other substances, etc leads to high-stress levels in them.
Anchal advised students about the Healthy ways to cope with stress including Exercise Regularly, Connect with Others, Maintain a Healthy Diet, Find Ways to Express Yourself, Offer to Help People when you can, Entertain Yourself, taking care of emotional health, Take breaks from watching, reading, or listening to news stories, Changing your perception towards the stress, feeding the brain with healthy inputs, Controlled eating habits, Concentrate on dream goals and career planning converting this COVID stress into opportunities.
