Tips to score high marks in English Paper – The date sheet of the Class 12th Annual Board Examination 2020 has been released by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). According to the datesheet, the English Exam of Class 12th Board exam will be on 27th February 2020. So the students have more than a month to prepare for the English Exam.

It has been seen that English is a highly-scoring subject. You need a systematic and well-planned strategy to score exceedingly well in the examinations.

Here are some tips which can help you to prepare for Class 12th English Paper:

REVISION: A KEY TO SUCCESS

The students should revise all the important stories and chapters from textbooks and the notes which you make while studying. It has been seen from the previous exams that most of the questions have been asked from the school textbooks only. Therefore, it is very important to revise all the chapters and stories from the English book and revise the formats of writing sections which consist of letter writing, report writing, precis writing, etc.

PRACTICE: MAKES A MAN PERFECT

Try to practice as much as you can. Take help from the previous year papers, mock test papers and sample papers which are available at the book shop and also on the internet. Try to solve them within the 3-hour duration. And take care of the word limit as well. Read the newspaper every day to improve your reading skills and it will enhance your vocabulary which will help you to increase your writing skills.

COMPLETE THE SYLLABUS

It is very important to read the entire syllabus before start revision. It is recommended to avoid selective reading. The questions can come from any chapter of the textbook. The character sketch is very important to revise from the literature section along with the central idea and the central theme for both prose and poetry.

TIME MANAGEMENT- A SECRET OF SMARTNESS

The students must be aware of how much they are taking to complete a topic. They should know how much time they need to complete each section in the paper. They should note the timing in the exam hall as well while attempting the paper. A wristwatch should carry a wristwatch in the exam hall with them. Try to attempt easy and short questions first so that you will have extra time for the longer ones.

ATTEMPT ALL THE QUESTIONS

Students are advised to attempt all those questions first which they are confident about. Do not leave any questions unattempted. If you have read the chapter well, you will be able to write something or the other. This might fetch you some marks rather than leaving it unattempted.  It should be noted that all the questions are very important in the exam paper.
