This was disclosed here today by the Deputy Commissioner Mr. Girish Dayalan.
Divulging the details, he said that on the 25th of May, 495 passengers arrived from 7 flights, and out of these, 223 belong to Punjab while 57 hail from Mohali. On the 26th of May, 6 flights arrived carrying 419 passengers out of which 193 were from Punjab with 69 from Mohali.
On the 27th of May, a total of 530 passengers landed at the Chandigarh International Airport, and out of these, 228 were from Punjab while those from Mohali numbered 62. On the 28th of May, 5 flights arrived carrying 512 passengers with 208 from Punjab including 64 from Mohali.
The only international flight that landed at the Chandigarh International Airport was a connecting one from USA which came via Delhi. The flight had a total of 100 passengers with 61 from Punjab and 5 from Mohali.
As per the Health Department protocol, all the passengers belonging to Mohali District arriving through International passengers have been put in the institutional/hotel quarantine while those coming via domestic flights have been put under home quarantine for 14 days. Those passengers who belong to other States and Other Districts were sent to their respective places where they would undergo similar quarantine.
