In view of the Novel Coronavirus (COVID 19) pandemic, Punjab Medium Industries Development Board Chairman Mr Amarjit Singh Tikka has appealed to all industries and industrial organisations of the state to take full advantage of the relaxations given by the Punjab government during ongoing lockdown/curfew.
While appreciating the efforts of Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh for coming in support of the industrialists, Mr Tikka said that the Chief Minister is keeping a close watch on the present status of industries in the state.
Tikka said that the Chief Minister Punjab has even written a letter to the Prime Minister appealing that more relaxations should be given to the Punjab industry.

Mr Amarjit Singh Tikka has also appealed to the textile industry to prepare high-quality PPE kits and face masks so that they can also contribute in the fight against COVID 19.
Also, He informed that the Punjab government has already started the process of providing relaxations to the industry in this ongoing lockdown/curfew. He informed that the industrialists have started applying on the Invest Punjab portal and those industries that fulfil the requirements would be granted permissions.
Tikka said that the industrialists seeking permission would have to ensure that their labour is quarantined within their factory premises. If the industrialist fails to quarantine the Labour inside the factory premises, then the labour would have to be provided with transportation service (only 50% passengers).
He assured that the Capt Amarinder Singh led Punjab government is committed for the welfare of industry and that is why several relaxations are being given to them.
