The drive launched by the District Administration to identify the people suffering from coronavirus, through comprehensive contact tracing and sampling and then undertaking measures for providing top-notch treatment, has started bearing results.
Divulging this here today, the Deputy Commissioner Mr. Girish Dayalan said that two patients have been discharged from the hospital after being tested negative twice for the coronavirus disease.
He also added that one is a 65-year-old man named Gulzar Mohammed and another one is a 55-year-old woman named Manjit Kaur. They were undergoing treatment at the Gian Sagar Hospital. Among them, Gulzar Mohammed belongs to Sector – 68 while Manjit Kaur belongs to Sector – 91. They were undergoing treatment for two weeks.
Now, the total number of cured patients in the district has gone up to 8.
Disclosing details about the scenario in village Jawaharpur, the DC said that as of now, there are a total of 38 corona virus-positive patients belonging to the village and out of them, 37 are undergoing treatment in Gian Sagar Hospital while one is admitted at the PGI.
