Governor and UT Administrator VP Badnore to the Neighoubring states screens patients before the visit referring them to the PGI.
In a Notification the Governor and UT Administrator VP Badnore has issued directions to the Neighoubring states to make sure that they have screened their patients before refereeing them to the PGI in Chandigarh.
He has issued these directions after the Director PGIMER Dr. Jagat Ram in his complaint to UT Administrator VP Badnore mentioned that the Neighbouring States are referring the patients to PGIMER Chandigarh without screening them at the first level for COVID-19.

After this UT Advisor expressed concern in the same and said it the patients from the Neighbouring States keep on coming to Chandigarh in this situation Chandigarh will become the hub of the infection and the entire medical system will be at risk.
He also appealed the Chandigarh citizens to extend their cooperation to all the medical staff working day and night to fight against the COVID Virus. He also appealed to the citizens not to hide information when the door to door survey is been done regarding there illness or travel.
