Sec 144, lockdown-like curbs in Maharashtra from tomorrow, says CM Uddhav

Addressing Media Maharashtra CM said Stricter restrictions to be imposed in the state from 8 pm tomorrow for at least next 15 days-

-Hae Also said Section 144 will be imposed.  He requested the people, not to unnecessary travel. As per the CM Only essential services to function from 7 am to 8 pm. hEAll establishments, public places will remain closed, except essentials

He also mentioned that transport will continue to function only for essential workers and in emergency and for essential activities for the general public

Thackeray said we have to continue with vaccination in large numbers. We may not be able to slow down the second wave with vaccination because it takes time for immunity to develop. But if we vaccinate, we can slow down the subsequent waves.

We are producing 1200MT in the state and as of today, we are already using 950-1000 MT. There is a shortage of beds, medicines in the state: Uddhav

We cannot afford to get oxygens from other states that are over 1000 km away by road. I am going to request PM to provide oxygen using airways. Air Force has to be roped in for this: Uddhav Thackeray

Vegetable vendors and general stores selling fast-moving consumer goods in Mumbai are seeing higher buying since 5.30 pm when the CM’s office informed of Uddhav Thackeray’s virtual address on Tuesday over social media platforms.

All essential industries to function at full capacity

We are allowing road side vendors to function 7am to 8pm, but no-one will be allowed to eat there. They will have to give as take away: Uddhav Thackeray
