How to raise the Social Skills of Kids? Living in the 21st century it is genuinely very important for parents to understand the fact that their children need to be socially active. As far as we get the fact that children nowadays are not sociable but more into technology and smartphone. It is important for their motor nerves to work, thereby one needs to be a social activist. If we talk about schooling, we have to make sure that children are socializing well as it can be a crucial part of their success. Socializing does not only involve having a conversation, listening but it also involves different life of segments like understanding the major concepts of awkwardness, bullying, accepting, rejection, teasing, etc. Let’s make this a bit more says for parents, here are 5 tips to make your child sociable.
Encouraging eye contact
Looking into eyes while talking is an effective way to boost your child’s confidence. It does not only help in encouraging your child’s courage but also helps in easy communication. Toddlers may need proper practice for the same. You can ask them to play games like staring contests of asking your child to talk his/ber soft toys.
Teach them emotions
Now if we talk about emotions we need to get into the lane that our life is based on emotions. Whatever we feel; happy, sad, angry its all because our parents taught us the right way of expressing ourselves. Your child should know exactly what is happiness, discouraging, anger, sadness, affection. This will not only help them understand the core existence of emotions but also help them to mingle with other children. Make them communicate
See, communication is important! For you, for me, for everyone. It’s an important part of Social Skills that kids need to adapt. Help them communicate, help them in socializing. You can teach them words like thank-you, please, your welcome! The basic ethics of our life. Kids may need help or guidance to interact with others appropriately, to overcome shyness, to manage a response, and express true feelings. Let your child know that they are free to talk, ask questions, etc.
Give them the environment
The environment does play a vital role in your child’s growth. A lonely child may suffer from a lonely environment. You need to create a healthy environment for your child. Give him a good company, exposure and chance to interact, else he will be an introvert and I’m sure you don’t want that to happen. Let them participate in different activities like dance classes, hobby classes, playschools, etc. When kids mingle with their age group, they develop some major talking skills and create their personality.
Prepare Kids for higher social skills
If I’m talking about higher social skills I’m not talking about taking your child and asking him or her to bargain to shopkeepers. It is necessary for them to interact with people, once your kid develops certain social skills he understands the situation and he will be ready to accept some higher social skills. For example, writing emails or sharing letters or making greeting cards where they can actually express their feelings.

We have different age groups who work differently according to their mental strength. Children in different age groups are like sprouts, saplings, plans, and trees.
Sprouts: 2-3 years old
Here you don’t need to drag your child into the socializing group. Your child needs to learn the basic necessities like “Hie”, “Bie”. He/she should get a basic situation like laughing on sleigh things, etc.
Saplings: 4-5 years old
Here child needs to start having a conversation. For example, they can talk to their stuff toys of understanding the emotions.
Plants: 5-6 years old
Till this age, children should know the words like, “thank you”, ”please”, etc. They should understand a should know what is right and what is wrong. Tell your child about different emotions like awkwardness, bullying so that, he/she doesn’t have any difficulty in mingling with the same age group.
