Two primary teachers were arrested in the case of leaked physics paper of UP Board intermediate (class 12th) paper in the XY series. Also, the manager of an intermediate college was being searched. They leaked the paper and circulated it on the social media in Mau district just before the commencement of the exam on Thursday morning.
The block basic education officer took prompt action on it and alerted a district magistrate Gyan Prakash Tripathi, who ensured the identification of the person involved and also arrested two of them. The DM recommended the state government to cancel the XY series examination and conduct it again.

The physics paper of UP Board intermediate examination was scheduled in the morning shift on Thursday. The question papers in the XY series which was for Mau district and one more series were got leaked and made viral on social media.
Tripathi said, “this bid of leaking paper by two primary teachers Prince Baiswara and Onkar Yadav through social media was caught in the WhatsApp group of the block resource center (BRC), taking note on it the block education officer reported the matter to him after which the involvement of a college manager Gopal Dubey in leaking papers of the XY series was also detected.”

The police were asked to arrest Baiswara, Yadav, and Dubey. By the late afternoon, Sarai Lakhansi Police nabbed Baiswara and Yadav, and raids were underway to arrest Dubey. The examination was to be conducted according to the schedule. But a recommendation had been sent forward to the state government to cancel the examination conducted with the papers in the XY series to conduct it again, said Tripathi.
