Some Home Remedies That Can Soothe Burn Of The Mouth

It can come from very hot foods and very cold frozen foods. Some home treatments can help you to remove this kind of burn. The burning roof of the mouth is a common problem, but it is easy to treat these burns at home. Many natural remedies that can soothe the burn and promote healing include yogurt, milk, and honey.

  1. Coldwater:-

Gargle with cold water right away and also minimize mouth burns by cooling your mouth down quickly and take cold water in your mouth for 5 to 10 minutes and when the water is not cool, spit it out and replace it cool water.

  1. Suck on ice chips:-

Ice can cool your mouth down even better than cold water. Take a cup of fresh ice and suck on ice until the stinging in your mouth subsides.

  1. Ice cream:-

Eat a few spoonfuls ice cream or a bowl of ice cream. The cold can soothe your burn. Kids may especially enjoy this option. Eating an ice pop or scoop of cold yogurt or drinking a glass of cold milk may also help improve the pain.

  1. Rinse with salt water:-

Dissolve half a teaspoon of salt in a glass of warm, water. Rinse your mouth with the saltwater once your mouth cools down. Do not swallow the saltwater.

  1. Drink a glass of cold milk:-

It will coat and protect the mucous membranes inside. The cold milk will also cool your burning mouth.

  1. Eat soft, cool foods:-

Eat soft, cool foods for a week. Avoid further injury during that time. Don’t eat foods that have sharp edges, like potato chips or crispy apple slices and allow the hot foods and beverages to cool to a warm temperature before you enjoy them. Enjoy mildly seasoned foods, but stay away from spicy foods and foods flavored with citrus.

  1. Consume honey:-

Eat a spoonful of honey a couple of times a day to help soothe pain and promote healing. If the burn is in your cheek and the roof of your mouth, try to press the honey to the hurt area with your tongue. Let the honey dissolve in your mouth.

  1. Brush your teeth:-

Brush your teeth twice a day. Maintain good oral hygiene while your burn heals. This promotes healing and helps you avoid infections. If you simply can’t use a toothbrush due to pain, put the toothpaste on your finger and use your finger for a toothbrush at least for a day or so until you can tolerate the brush.

  1. Sugar:-

It is a little-known pain reliever available in your own pantry. A spoonful may help the medicine go down, but a tiny sprinkle over the tongue can also dull the pain when you’ve burned your tongue, according to Healthline Drizzle some sugar over your tongue. Honey is another delicious burn cure, used in countries like India for its antibacterial properties to speed the healing process against ulcers.
