All delhi cinemas and schools to remain closed till end of March

All delhi cinemas and schools to remain closed till end of March due to Coronavirus concerns. The chief minister Arvind Kejrival announced this on 12th March 2020.

Kejriwal also requested the owners of vacant flats to provide their spaces to be used as quarantine. This step was taken after the sixth case turned positive in the national capital of India.

The step was taken after the virus outbreak where the WHO also declared it as a Pandemic. “Delhi government has declared coronavirus as an epidemic. We need to exercise abundant caution to contain the disease” Said CM Arvind Kejrival in his official twitter account.

The closing of cinemas and schools will help with stopping contamination and thus spread of the virus. Meanwhile 6th positive case was reported in delhi. The virus was spread in the Wuhan city of China. The sixth case is a woman of 69 years of age. The case was confirmed on Thursday.

The lady has been admitted in RML Hospital and her son has a travel history to Japan, Italy and Geneva. She is a resident of Janakpuri in Delhi.

Total 73 cases have been reported so far out of which 56 are Indians and 17 are foreign nationals.

PM Modi also requested the citizens to take precautions and not to panic. The total cases have crossed 1 lakh and the death toll is 4000 as of now.
