Haryana takes another pivotal step towards increasing connectivity in the NCR region

Chief Minister’s efforts bore fruitful results, Palwal to Sonipat Orbital Rail Corridor project gets green signal

Recently Centre had gifted Haryana four projects amounting to Rs 6,629 crore

Chandigarh, October 30 – The dedicated efforts of Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal made to promote the road, and rail network in the National Capital Region bore fruitful results as the  State recently got a green signal for constructing the Haryana Orbital Rail Corridor project costing  Rs.5618 crore.

The said project will be 121.7 km from Palwal to Sonipat, crossing  Delhi.  With this, all the rail routes starting from Delhi and passing through Haryana will be interconnected. With this, because of the dedicated efforts of Sh. Manohar Lal, the State also received the gift of four projects costing around Rs.6,629 crore from the Centre.

The key highlight of the Haryana Orbital Rail Corridor is that it will not only increase the connectivity of its adjoining areas, but will also give a major boost setting up of industrial and logistics centres in Haryana.

This will prove to be a milestone in realising Haryana  Chief Minister’s dream to develop Panchagram in the NCR region.

When Centre had again lauded Manhoar Lal led government

Notably, during a recently when Union Home Minister, Sh. Amit Shah and the Union Railway Minister, Sh. Ashwini Vaishnav had come to Haryana to inaugurate and lay foundation stone of these projects, both had showed praises on Sh. Manohar Lal’s vision of taking Haryana attop.

Both the Union Minsiters had also lauded the  efforts of Haryana Chief Minister to increase connectivity in Delhi and its surrounding areas are undoubtedly commendable.

It would not be wrong to say that because of these efforts Haryana Orbital Rail Corridor project has come to Haryana which will certainly going to prove a significant step towards meeting the demand of the public by 2031.

Some highlights about the project

The HORC connecting Palwal to Sonipat via Sohna, Manesar and Kharkhoda is a broad gauge double railway line for passenger and freight traffic bypassing the rail network of the Delhi area. It will provide seamless connectivity to Dedicated Freight Corridors (DFC) and five sections of Indian Railways and spur economic activity in the region.

Part-A of HORC comprises a 30 Km route length with five new Railway Stations (Dhulawat, Chandala Dungerwas, Pachgaon, Manesar and New Patli), 11.4 Km of connectivity lines to the Railway network at Patli and Sultanpur and 4.8 Km of connectivity line to DFC network at New Tauru.

Meanwhile, Part-B of HORC comprises 96 Km route length with 12 new Railway Stations and 6.28 Km of connectivity lines to the Railway network and DFC network at three interchange points (New Prithala, Asaudah and New Haryana Kalan).

Rail Coach Refurbishment Factory to promote industrialization, create new employment opportunities in Haryana

Haryana has also got a Rail Coach Refurbishment Factory in the Sonipat district that has been constructed for Rs 590 crore. The foundation stone of this factory was laid by Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi on October 9, 2018.

Built on an area of 161 acres, the factory has an annual capacity of 250 MHB refurbished coaches. With the construction of this factory, its subsidiary industrial units will be set up in its vicinity, which will promote industrialization and create new employment opportunities.

A slew of incentives for the welfare of Policemen announced

Reiterating the State Government’s commitment towards ensuring the welfare of State Police, recently a slew of incentives was announced for their welfare. These include the inauguration of the Haryana Police Residence Complex, Bhondsi and providing an additional fund of Rs 1050 crore to the Police Housing Corporation through HUDCO.

Meanwhile, with this inauguration, the State police have got a mega housing complex. The complex constructed for Rs. 106 crore has 576 multi-storey housing units.

Notably,  earlier also financial assistance of Rs.550 crore has been provided to the Corporation, due to which construction of 3060 houses is going on at various levels in District Police Lines.

Haryana has the country’s first longest 5 km elevated railway track built in Rohtak

Not only this, but now Haryana has the country’s first longest 5 km elevated railway track built in Rohtak. With the construction of this track, Haryana has set another dimension in terms of infrastructure.  The cost of this elevated track project is Rs 315.40 crore.  The track passes over 4 busy railway crossings of the city, thereby easing the traffic jam in Rohtak city.
