Chandigarh Police detains 1700 and makes 45 arrested in three days

Chandigarh Police detained in a total of 1764 people by arresting 61 on the people for violating curfew.

The detained and arrests were done in the city from 23rd March to 25th March midnight.

Police detained people from around the city and all were kept in the makeshift jail at sector 16 crochet stadium and Manimajara sports couples which is also a makeshift jail.

Chandigarh Police detained 77 vehicles plying on the roads of the city. And impounded 79 vehicles in the last three days In total detained vehicles 505 were two-wheelers, 25 three. Vehicles, and 243 four vehicles.

Cops are taking strict action on the violators who are not respecting the curfew and breaking the law.

Thousands of people who were roaming on the streets on Chandigarh out of which 45 FIR were registered in 16 different police stations across the Chandigarh city. All these FIR (First Information Reports) 45 FIRs (first information reports) under section 188 (defying public order ) under section 188 of the CrPC

All their FIR are registered between 23rd March and 25th March.

Police teams for east division of Chandigarh police have detained 889 people for sector 19, sector 26, Manimajara, Muli Jagran, IT Park Chandigarh, Industrial area Phase 1.

Chandigarh Administration is again and gains requesting the citizens of City to stay at home and not to come out in the large spread of Coronavirus.

In many areas people were looking for essential items like Milk, Medicines so to address the residences of the city Shashank Anand, SSP, traffic, Chandigarh in a tweet said that Police is trying the best to make sure that essential items are been available to all the bedful across the city and administration is doing the level best for the same.
